S4S for Sitecore Intranet

Mark from QlikView raised an interesting question yesterday. Will the S4S Connector work with Sitecore Intranet? The development team at FuseIT responded with a unanimous, "Yes", but nobody had ever actually tested it.

It takes a couple of hours to install S4S into an existing Sitecore site and it was well worth it to see the Norman Furniture demo Intranet talking to Salesforce. It means, of course, that Sitecore Intranet users can now display any Salesforce data inside their organization. This could be Salesforce Documents, Content, Reports, Contacts, or Leads - the permutations are limitless. And because S4S is bi-directional, data can also be pushed up to Salesforce from Sitecore Intranet.
