Bill Irwin
Bill started in the IT industry with CBL (now Datacom) back in 1968 as a Systems Analyst. He then moved to Control Data in Melbourne where he sold scientific data services, a role which he continued with Cybernetics Research Consultants in London before returning to Nelson where he started Microcomputer Systems Ltd in 1977. MSL's initial product was the BASIS Legal Accounting suite which enjoyed success throughout NZ and Australia. MSL subsequently became Geni Nelson and Nimbus Software Ltd. Bill was also involved as a founder and major shareholder in SQL Services Ltd. Although fundamentally a technical person, Bill has broad experience in business including management, finance, sales, service delivery, marketing and software production. Bill is a shareholder in FuseIT.
